The object of this research is two news stories about the economy on CNN Arabic. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method: collecting, analyzing, and describing data. The research results showed that twenty-four words containing polysemy were found in economic news on CNN Arabic. It includes polysemy of nouns, verbs, and adjectives, with details of thirteen noun words, seven verb words, and four adjective words. The factors causing polysemy in economic news are shifts in sentence usage and structure and the influence of foreign languages. Most of the meanings of polysemy in economic news on CNN Arabic are metaphors of lexical meaning, and these words can be known by looking at a dictionary or analyzing sentence structure.
2023-11-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 sayyidah khoizuronah, Muwaafiquddin Abdul Latif , Wildan Falah Athoillah https://jurnalpps.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/jalsat/article/view/382 Arabic Conversation Learning Activities with the Real Player Application 2023-06-24T05:24:56+00:00 Ahmad Hafidz Abdullah ahmadhafidz893@gmail.com Faris Maturedy farismatane@gmail.com
This study aims to describe the activity of teaching conversation in Arabic for the second grade of MTs Miftahul Ulum, including the teacher's use of the RealPlayer application. This study used the qualitative research methodology as a case study. The data were therefore collected in two ways: participatory observation and personal interview. An Observation to know the steps of dialogue teaching activities and students' responses throughout the education process. As for the personal interview, it is to confirm and reconcile the data taken from the observation. The participants are the students in the second semester and the Arabic language teacher. After the data was collected, it was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three steps: the presentation and reduction of data and the conclusion. Eventually, the researchers came to conclusions. The first is that the teacher begins teaching conversation in the second semester by reviewing the material in a continuous training manner. The teacher thus continued to teach conversation with the main activities with the help of means, including the RealPlayer app and the speaker. The confirmation activities were conducted through discussion between the students and the teacher using the RealPlayer application.
2023-09-12T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Ahmad Hafidz Abdullah https://jurnalpps.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/jalsat/article/view/383 The Effectiveness of Using Plotagon Story Media to Improve Listening Skills for Non-Arabic Speakers 2023-06-26T11:52:43+00:00 M. With digital learning, students can set the time and place of study according to their needs and preferences. This research has a problem formulation: how to use the Plotagon story in listening skill learning in Islamic Yunior High School 2 Surabaya, and how effective the use of the Plotagon story is in improving students' listening competence. The population of this study was all grade 7 students, totaling 278 students, while the sample was 32 students studying in grade 7F. This quantitative research collects data through tests, namely prates and posters, and then ends with a t-test analysis. The results significantly increased after students followed digital learning with Plotagon stories. This problem is expected to be developed in other learning domains, such as speaking, reading, and writing competencies.
2023-11-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 M. The primary data of this poem is Al-Diwan. This research aims to reveal the broader meaning of the poem through the meaninglessness in the poem's exposition, the results of heuristic reading and hermeneutic reading, determining the matrix, model, variant and hypnogram in the poem entitled "Qais wa Laila" by Nazik al-Malaika with the sub-chapter analysis of riffaterre's semiotic theory that has been mentioned. This research method is a qualitative descriptive literature review. Among the results of this study are: (1) there are many discontinuities in the meaning of a poetic expression in this poem, so many perspectives appear, including similes in the word fi yadil mauti (2) the results of heuristic reading of this poem are advice from the author by telling the pain, madness and futility committed by Qais, (3) the result of the heuristic reading of this poem is that the romance told by other writers about the story of Qais and Laila is considered a useless thing according to the author, depicted through the signs of the choice of diction in his work (4) the matrix of this poem is not to waste time and be stupid, written in the last stanza (5) the variant of this poem is the reinforcement of the author's advice written in stanza 23 (6) the model of this poem is the author's view of love - Qais - which is only the ultimate torment.
2023-11-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dewi Maisyah Mushfiroh https://jurnalpps.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/jalsat/article/view/514 The Issue of Synonymy between the Words Al-Hulm and Al-Ru’ya in Surah Yusuf: A Quranic Semantics Study 2023-11-17T00:50:46+00:00 Fahmi Akhyar Al Farabi fahmi15089@gmail.com Sabilul Wafda sabilulwafda@gmail.com
The issue of synonymy in the Holy Qur'an is one of the important controversial issues between scholars and those working with the Qur'an and its sciences, ancient and modern. Some scholars prove the occurrence of synonymy in the Qur'an by the difference in the two words and the meaning being the same, and some of them deny its occurrence by the complete lack of synonymy between the two words. It is one of the synonymous words in the Qur'an, including Al-Hulm and Al-Ru'ya. This study aims to clarify and answer detailed implications in the meaning of the words Al-Hulm and Al-Ru'ya in Surah Yusuf. The type of this study is a desk study to obtain facts about the semantic meaning between these two words using the descriptive and analytical approach to solve study problems. The results of this research are that the semantic study reveals great secrets and wondrous wisdom that can only be imagined by those who contemplate this great miracle of the Qur'an. The words al-Hilm and al-Ru'ya have synonymy and context comparison. Regarding synonymy, these two words have the same meaning: dream. Meanwhile, in a comparative context, the verses in al-Ru'ya show dreams and are revelations sent down by Allah SWT to His Prophet and can be interpreted. As for al-Hilm in context, it has no meaning and does not require interpretation, and it is associated with Satan, and it is not permissible for Muslims to talk about it because it is part of Satan's play.
2023-11-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Fahmi Akhyar Al Farabi, Mirwan Akhmad Taufiq, Sabilul Wafda https://jurnalpps.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/jalsat/article/view/413 Analysis of Phonological Errors in Reading Qasidah Burdah at Darul Falah Islamic Boarding SchoolTambak Sumur Sidoarjo Indonesia 2023-11-25T23:11:56+00:00 Nur Rohmatika rohmatika08@gmail.com
This study aims to describe the phonological errors of students of the Salafiyah Islamic boarding school, Darul Falah 42, Tambak Sumur, Sidoarjo. In addition to explaining the error, it also seeks the underlying causes or factors for the errors in the pesantren students to provide solutions to help improve the following learning process. In collecting data, researchers used listening, note-taking and recording techniques. In addition, researchers also use observation techniques, interviews, and also documentation. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The phonological errors of the students were found in two groups of sounds, namely the group of throat sounds (الحلق) and the group of sounds of the tongue (اللسان). In this study, two causes or factors of error were found, namely linguistic factors and non-linguistic factors—the different alphabetical characters between Arabic and Indonesian caused the error. The non-linguistic factors include lack of self-confidence, reading comprehension, and mother tongue interference. Then, the researchers provide several solutions to help improve the subsequent learning process, namely that students should increase their enthusiasm for learning and improve their reading, teachers should pay special attention to students who are not fluent in reading Arabic literature, and teachers should provide recitation reviews for every student's mistakes.

2023-11-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Nur Rohmatika https://jurnalpps.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/jalsat/article/view/512 Optimality Theory Paradigm in the Formation of Active Participles Arabic Quadrilateral Verbs 2023-11-23T03:44:41+00:00 Zakiyah zakiyahcndr74@gmail.com
This article aims to investigate the implementation of the Optimality Theory (OT) paradigm in the formation of Active Participle (AP) in quadrilateral verbs in the Arabic language. This approach involves morphological and contrastive linguistic analyses to understand the patterns of PA formation from quadrilateral verbs, with a focus on the hierarchy of criteria and candidate evaluation based on OT principles. The research methodology includes an in-depth study of various forms of PA produced by quadrilateral verbs, identifying rules and preferences that lead to changes in the word forms. The research findings indicate that OT provides profound insights into the complexity of the morphology of quadrilateral verbs, illustrating consistent patterns of change as well as variations depending on grammatical and semantic contexts. The implications of these research findings significantly contribute to the understanding of Arabic linguistic structure, morphological theory, and contrastive analysis methods. By paving the way for further research, this article suggests that paradigm serves as an effective conceptual framework to explain morphological phenomena in the Arabic language, enriching Arabic linguistic literature and supporting the development of advanced morphological analysis methods. This study opens avenues for deeper exploration of linguistic intricacies, fostering academic insights into the Arabic language's structural nuances.
2023-11-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Zakiyah https://jurnalpps.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/jalsat/article/view/395 The role of Nigerian scholars in improving the Arabic language in the future in Nigeria 2023-11-16T02:54:59+00:00 Dalhatu Zakariyya Yunusa dalhatuzakariyyayunus@gmail.com Yakubu Abdullahi yakubu.abdullahi@gmail.com
This research seeks to investigate the efforts of Nigerian Arabic scholars in developing and attracting people to learn Arabic.
